About Nasheba
Nasheba is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology (ABD). She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from University of Massachusetts School of Law, her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Northwestern University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Diversity & Justice from Western Washington University (Fairhaven College). She has taught courses such as Women, Crime and the Law, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Advanced Topic in Law: Domestic Violence at University of Massachusetts and Fairhaven College (WWU).
Nasheba was born and raised in the Caribbean but migrated to the United States in 2003. She has come to accept the Pacific Northwest as her home. Nasheba maintains that one of the best jobs she has ever had is being a mother to two wonderful boys. Her decision to pursue a law degree and then a MA in counseling originated from her personal life experiences, and being an empath, and a compassionate person who find gratification in helping others.

Nasheba is dedicated to providing professional consulting, coaching, and training services to help individuals, attorneys, other law professionals, businesses, and organizations gain the knowledge and understanding needed to respond to issues surrounding domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and immigration.
In her work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups of different cultures, relationship problems which includes unhealthy relational patterns, domestic violence issues, sexual abuse/assault, immigration issues, life stage challenges, and other issues that negatively impact mental health are explored. These include trauma and PTSD, addiction, acculturation, and adjustment issues. Coping and emotion regulation
strategies are explored.

- Nasheba is the author of "Life or Green Card: Immigration as an abuse Tactic." This book tells a story which highlight ways in which domestic violence and immigration intertwine and cause life changing events.
- Nasheba is the author of "Let Love Be Love: Love After Sexual Trauma." In this book, Nasheba lends her unique experiences to widen readers' breadth of knowledge and remove the blind spot one can have surrounding sexual violence and sexual trauma.
